Crohn’s disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease that is associated with significant morbidity, particularly when the disease is not well controlled and progressive damage to the intestinal lining can occur. In recent years, the management of CD has experienced a paradigm shift, changing strategies to reflect a new “treat-to-target” approach.
