This Twitter-based, CME-certified Tweetorial activity focuses on the symptom profile of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), symptom overlap with other respiratory tract infections, methods for detecting and confirming an RSV diagnosis; specifically reviewing available tests including specificity and sensitivity data.

Target Audience

Geriatricians, primary care physicians (PCPs), internal medicine, family practice, nurse practitioners (NPs), physician’s assistants (PAs), nurses, and other members of the allied health care team involved in, or interested in, education regarding RSV vaccines.

Learning Objectives

After completing this activity series, the participant should be better able to:

  • Select strategies to identify and diagnose at-risk patients.

  • Differentiate diagnostic factors for patients at risk for RSV infection.

  • Describe recommended diagnostic testing to identify patients at risk for RSV infection.
